Douglas County sheriff pushes for stricter penalties on reckless drivers

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Douglas County Sheriff Aaron Hanson is calling on local leaders to provide law enforcement with more tools to handle reckless drivers and street takeovers.

Video provided by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office shows what these street takeovers look like. The sheriff said these events are dangerous and leaders cannot ignore the “reckless behavior.”
