Officials in South Elgin urged residents to avoid a part of the northwest suburb amid a large police presence and investigation in the area on Tuesday.
Around 3:40 p.m., the Village of South Elgin said in a post on social media that police were asking residents to avoid the area surrounding 500 Oakwood Lane and the Jim Hansen Park parking lot while they investigated.
