Food truck serves up Southern catfish done right

The smell of fried catfish and chicken wings drifts across the parking lot outside Garrison headquarters as Garrison workers line up for Ramona J’s food truck, a family business serving up Southern staples with a personal story behind every plate.

Parked in front of building 4488, the food truck has become a familiar stop for workers looking for a quick lunch and a taste of local flavor. For owner and operator Orlandous Johnson, the truck is more than a business. It is a tribute to family, hard work and the kind of food he grew up with in North Alabama.

“We sell fish, wings, tenders, egg rolls,” Johnson said during a stop on Redstone Arsenal. “Our specialty is the catfish.”…
