Police: 10‑year‑old hurt, 3 arrested after allegedly sparking gunfire in custody dispute

READING, Pa. – A custody fight in Reading turned violent Monday night when a gunshot allegedly grazed a 10‑year‑old boy, police said.

According to Reading Police, officers were called around 7:22 p.m. to the 200 block of Fishers Court for a fight in progress over custody of a child. During the altercation, investigators say a shot was fired into the ground, allegedly causing ricochet to graze a 10-year-old boy’s finger. He was treated at a hospital, and his injuries are not considered life‑threatening, according to authorities.
