Air traffic control upgrades roll out at San Diego International Airport

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego International Airport is now equipped with upgraded air traffic control technology designed to enhance safety both in the air and on the ground.

Federal Aviation Administration Deputy Administrator Chris Rocheleau visited San Diego Tuesday and highlighted new radar he believes will help prevent runway incursions and close calls at the airport.
