AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is partnering with Northwest Texas Healthcare System to host a free health fair on June 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the NWTHS J.O. Wyatt Clinic.
According to officials with TTUHSC, the event will provide free health screenings, wellness education, women’s health services, and healthcare resources to community members. Officials note that attendees can receive blood pressure and glucose screenings, medication safety education, basic health assessments, sports physicals, and healthcare packages.
“We are grateful to be part of the Amarillo community, and this is one way we can give back,” said Louise Rice, DNP, Amarillo regional dean for the TTUHSC School of Nursing. “Our goal is to connect individuals and families with resources and information that support healthier lives.”

TTUHSC officials also stated that the fair will offer residents an opportunity to engage with healthcare professionals and students while learning about services available throughout the community.
