Deputies: NC man found passed out in truck, arrested on drug charges

MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – A man was arrested on drug charges out of McDowell County after he was found passed out in a truck.

The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office said 21-year-old Haven Michael Brown from Marion was arrested after deputies patrolling the Nebo area saw him passed out inside a truck and stopped to check on his welfare.

A search of Brown’s vehicle led to the discovery of 104 grams of marijuana, oxycodone, Xanax pills and drug paraphernalia.

According to the sheriff’s office, Brown was charged with:

  • Felony Possession of Marijuana
  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Marijuana
  • Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia
  • Misdemeanor Simple Possession of a Controlled Substance

Brown was issued a $20,000 secured bond, the sheriff’s office said…
