$393 million in ALDOT road projects in the Huntsville metro: Here is where they stand

People commuting to work on some of Huntsville’s most traveled corridors will have to put up with road construction for months, or even years, according to the latest report by the Alabama Department of Transportation.

According to the ALDOT report to the Huntsville Area Metropolitan Organization on May 20 there are more than $393 million in road construction projects underway or in the planning stages in the Huntsville metro.

U.S. 72

The most expensive project on the list is the U.S. 72 widening from Providence Main to County Line Road. The estimated cost of the project, which will be built in three phases, is now up to $92.2 million…
