Myrtle Beach approves $384.1M budget, rebalances tourism fee credit

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — The Myrtle Beach City Council has approved a $384,112,568 budget for the next fiscal year, increasing spending 6.5% over the current plan.

The fiscal year budget begins July 1, 2026, and runs through June 30, 2027. The spending plan includes a rebalance of the Tourism Development Fee, reducing the credit from 67.45% to 53.4%.
