A brush fire broke out on the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in Southern California and quickly charred hundreds of acres on Wednesday, June 10, according to the Camp Pendleton Fire Department.
The November Fire had reached 560 acres as of 2:30 p.m., with the Camp Pendleton Fire Department evacuating Camp Pendleton’s Marine Memorial Golf Course as the fire threatened to reach structures on the base.
At 1:12 p.m., Cal Fire reported that the fire had reached 800 acres, but reduced the size after receiving more “accurate mapping by aerial intelligence aircraft.”
