For more than 30 years, Day Break Coffee Roasters has built its reputation on quality coffee, exceptional service, and a commitment to the community it calls home.
Founder Scott Gloyna discovered specialty coffee while serving in the military and traveling throughout California and the Pacific Northwest during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Inspired by the growing coffee culture he experienced there, Gloyna saw an opportunity to bring something new to West Texas. After returning home to Lubbock, he developed a business plan, partnered with an experienced coffee professional, and launched Daybreak Coffee Roasters.
The company began with a simple vision: create a place where people could gather over a great cup of coffee, much like the conversations Gloyna remembered taking place around the coffee pot in local cotton gin offices. That emphasis on relationships and community continues to define the business today…
