A Jefferson Parish judge handed down two life sentences plus 60 years in prison to a Marrero man found guilty of knifing both his grandfather and another victim to death before torching their house and stealing a car, according to court records.
Jarrell Jones, 37, was sentenced Monday, one month after jurors convicted him of two counts of first-degree murder for the 2020 deaths of Larry Brown, 69, and Shelton Martin Sr., 60.
