Springfield intersection improvements starting next week

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The City of Springfield will construct a series of intersection improvements at several locations across the community beginning this summer to enhance traffic operations and pedestrian accessibility.

Improvements will include the replacement of existing traffic signals and the reconstruction of curb ramps and sidewalks to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

Work is expected to begin at the intersection of Grant Avenue and High Street the week of June 15, followed by the intersection of Kimbrough Avenue and Madison Street the week of June 22 (weather and contractor dependent)…
