HONOLULU (KHON2) — This week’s Wags and Whiskers star is Hoku, a playful and energetic pup looking for her forever home.
Hoku is a 1-year-old, 50-pound poi dog who arrived at the Hawaiian Humane Society in early April. Since then, she has quickly won over staff and volunteers with her happy personality and endless enthusiasm.
Royalty Rita ready to take the throne at her forever home
The Hawaiian Humane Society describes Hoku as a fun-loving dog who enjoys walks, exploring new places and taking in all the sights and smells around her. Whether she’s out on an adventure or spending time with her favorite people, Hoku is always ready to share her excitement.
Her friendly nature shines through in every interaction and she loves meeting new people. Shelter staff said she would be a wonderful companion for an active family or individual looking for a loyal best friend to join them on island adventures.
Hoku is a recipient of the Reid Krucky Memorial Fund, which means her adoption fee has been completely waived. She will also go home with goodies to help her and her new family get settled in.
