Athlete of the Week: Kobee Finniki

Dedication, perseverance, and a relentless work ethic have helped 18-year-old Kobee Finnikin establish himself as one of the Inland Empire’s most accomplished student-athletes. A recent graduate of Corona High School, Kobee balanced the demands of academics and athletics while maintaining an impressive 3.5 GPA and earning numerous honors throughout his high school career.

Kobee has been involved in sports since he was just three years old, developing a passion for both baseball and football at an early age. On the baseball diamond, he excelled as an infielder and shortstop, while his athleticism also made him a standout football player.

His list of accomplishments is extensive. Kobee graduated with honors, earned Desert Sun Athlete of the Year recognition twice, was selected three times to the All-League First Team in baseball, and twice to the All-League First Team in football. He also earned the opportunity to compete in the Inland Empire Baseball Classic at San Manuel Stadium, where many of the top baseball players from Riverside and San Bernardino counties were selected to showcase their talents in a Riverside County versus San Bernardino County all-star matchup.
