NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A New Orleans man pled guilty on June 5 to various narcotics charges.
According to the Eastern District of Louisiana, 37-year-old Phalanders Rashaad King was convicted of distributing methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroin and marijuana. He was also convicted of possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.

Officials said on Aug. 24, 2023, undercover agents conducted an operation to locate fentanyl distributors in the French Quarter. Through 2023 and 2024, agents conducted 10 purchases of fentanyl, heroin and methamphetamine from King’s co-defendants and eventually from King himself.
Agents established that King conspired to distribute these drugs utilizing an apartment and storefront that he maintained in the Central Business District of New Orleans. Agents executed a search warrant on those locations in May 2024 that found additional narcotics, 14 firearms and over $10,000 in U.S. currency.
