Man dies after incident in Liliha; case reclassified as murder

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police have opened a murder investigation after a 70-year-old man died following a Wednesday incident in Liliha.

The Honolulu Police Department said officers responded just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old man who was in need of evaluation. Police said he was taken by Honolulu Emergency Medical Services to a hospital.

At about 4:30 p.m., officers learned of a related incident and responded to a residence on Nalanui Street, where they found the 70-year-old man suffering from injuries, police said. The victim was treated and taken to a hospital…
