Audubon, N.J. — A Camden County man has been charged for allegedly stabbing a woman multiple times in a supermarket parking lot earlier this week.
The Audubon Police Department said at about 9:45 Tuesday night, its officers were dispatched to the parking lot of the Acme Supermarket at the Black Horse Pike and Nicholson Road for a report of an assault.

At the scene, cops found a 23-year-old woman lying on the ground, suffering from multiple lacerations. Officers immediately rendered aid before she was taken to an area hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said the suspect, 23-year-old William J. McCallin of Camden, was located at the scene and taken into custody without incident. Based on the investigation, officers determined McCallin, who was an acquaintance of the victim, “had assaulted her with a knife following a disagreement.”
Charges Filed
McCallin has been charged with aggravated assault with serious bodily injury, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
