Three arrested in Spring Valley narcotics compliance operation

SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) Three people were arrested during a narcotics compliance operation at a home in Spring Valley Tuesday, authorities said.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, the operation took place just before 6:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of South Barcelona Avenue.

Deputies from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s Station and Lemon Grove Sheriff’s Substation Crime Suppression Teams carried out what officials described as a “fourth waiver compliance check” at the residence a targeted search of an individual who is on probation, parole or supervised release.

Investigators said Mario Tapia, 60, and Erasmo Tapia, 53, were suspected of selling illegal street narcotics from the home. Shortly before, deputies moved in, Mario was allegedly seen conducting a drug transaction. He was detained along with Erasmo and a third individual, identified as 46-year-old Levi Gagarin.

During a serach of the residence, deputies recovered around 28 grams of suspected methamphetamine, along with a stolen driver’s licenses, personal identifying information, credit cards and ammunition…
