Sonoma County Man Allegedly Caught with Illegal Firearms, including Ghost Gun, During Traffic Stop

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — “On June 9, 2026, at about 3:31 p.m., a Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputy assigned to the Sonoma Valley area observed a vehicle run a red light at the intersection of Arnold Drive and Leveroni Road.

When the deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver failed to yield and fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle eventually stopped in a driveway in the 60 block of Temelec Circle.

The driver was identified as 28-year-old Jacob McDonald. During a search, deputies located a loaded, unserialized handgun concealed in McDonald’s waistband. The firearm was loaded with 11 rounds of ammunition and equipped with a threaded barrel…
