Stanford’s recruiting flub has opened the door for Iowa to pounce on a former target

It is not very often that you get a second chance on the recruiting trail, but that is exactly what Jan Jensen and the Hawkeyes have been given.

Jensen and her staff have been excellent in recruiting since she took over for Lisa Bluder after the 2024 season, snagging five-star recruits in her only two recruiting cycles. Five-star recruit Addie Deal headlined the 2025 recruiting class, alongside four-star recruits Journey Houston and Layla Hays, and the program recently welcomed five-star recruit McKenna Woliczko in the 2026 class.

Diligence in recruiting has been key, and now the program has a chance to re-enter the sweepstakes for a top in-state prospect.
