LUBBOCK, Texas — Frenship ISD has announced that Cathy Barnhill has been selected as the new principal of Frenship’s 10th elementary school that is scheduled to open in August 2028.
Barnhill brings more than two decades of experience as she enters her 24th year in education. Barnhill has served families of Lubbock in a variety of roles, including eight years previously of campus leadership. Most recently, Barnhill joined Frenship in 2025 and served as assistant principal at Bennet Elementary during the 2025-2026 school year.
