MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis “armed career criminal” has been sentenced to over 17 years after robbing three banks and stealing a car with a dog inside, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Arkansas said.
On June 6, Freddie Najil was sentenced to 17 years and seven months for bank robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He will also have three years of supervised release.

On March 4, 2025, a federal grand jury in the Northern District of Mississippi charged Najil in a six-count indictment with two counts of bank robbery, two counts of using a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, and two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
