Horry County man arrested while on bond for human trafficking charge will remain in custody

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A judge revoked bond for a Horry County man facing new charges after being arrested while out on bond for a human trafficking charge.

Police arrested Kwame Vereen in January 2026, charging him with marijuana possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a pistol.

According to the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, Vereen cannot own a gun due to a federal charge from 2015…
