An Inland Empire man is off the streets months after he allegedly intimidated a witness with a firearm, authorities said Thursday.
Salvador Cardenas Jr., a 30-year-old resident of Joshua Tree, was arrested on Wednesday after deputies located his vehicle near the junction of the 10 Freeway and Highway 62 in a remote stretch of the eastern Coachella Valley and conducted a traffic stop, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Cardenas was being sought in connection with an April incident in which a firearm was used to dissuade a witness, the Sheriff’s Department said.
