‘We’ll see where we go’: Onondaga County executive on term limits vote after public hearing, with little turnout

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon opened his office to the public on Thursday so they can give their thoughts on a pair of bills lawmakers passed that rein in the powers of his office.

Not many people showed up. One attendee who signed up to speak thought it was just a sign-in sheet.

But those who did sided with the Democrats in supporting term limits on the county executive’s office and stripping the county executive’s authority to appoint vacancies in the Onondaga County Legislature…
