BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – An investigation is underway in Buncombe County after deputies said a man died after he was found injured on a highway in Swannanoa.
According to the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, first responders were called to a reported crash involving a pedestrian at the 1900 block of U.S. Highway 70 around 11 p.m. Monday.
Investigators said 71-year-old Saied Mohammad Khoshnoud was found lying in the road with serious injuries. He was taken to Mission Hospital for treatment, but later died from his injuries…
