KALAMAZOO, MI — Registered nurses at Beacon Kalamazoo Hospital will hold a community rally Saturday to protest federal budget cuts they say threaten health care and endanger access to care for thousands of patients.
The event, organized by members of the Michigan Nurses Association and National Nurses United, comes as Beacon Kalamazoo could lose $9.6 million to $15 million due to the federal budget bill H.R. 1 passed last year, according to NNU’s analysis of Medicare Cost reports and Definitive Healthcare reports.
