Michigan congressman holds hearing on VA community care challenges

GRAND LEDGE, Mich. (News 10) – Michigan U.S. Rep. Tom Barrett held a hearing at the Grand Ledge National Guard Base on Thursday to examine the Veterans Affairs Community Care Program.

The federal program is designed to provide veterans with easy access to local doctors instead of having to travel to a specialized VA hospital for care and it covers the services that a VA provider cannot offer.
