Man injured in North Memphis shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured Friday afternoon, but officers are still working to determine exactly where the gunfire happened.

According to the Memphis Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call just before 3 p.m. in the 2400 block of Jackson Avenue.

When officers arrived, they located an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital in non-critical condition.

Investigators were given two possible locations where the shooting may have happened: the area of Watkins Street and Brown Avenue or the 1000 block of Garland Street.
