Summer Storm Pattern Settles Into Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – We’ve settled into our summer pattern with daily sea breeze storms, and that trend continues through the weekend and into next week.

We’re tracking a pattern change that will lead to higher coverage of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms each day. While not everyone will see rain, our interior spots will experience periods of heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and gusty winds.

Rain chances today increase to 60-70% during the afternoon and evening hours. Storms will first develop near the coast before shifting inland. The highest coverage is expected across the interior, where sea breeze boundaries collide later in the day…
