Arrest made in deadly Baton Rouge shooting that left 1 dead, 1 injured

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The Baton Rouge Police Department announced an arrest has been made in connection with a deadly shooting that happened Sunday night, May 24.

Police said 20-year-old Johnathan Chambers died after being shot. A second victim, a female, was also taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

According to BRPD, LaDarius Lee was developed as a suspect during the investigation. Lee was arrested in Pointe Coupee Parish and transported to Baton Rouge.

He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and illegal use of a weapon…
