BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The pride of Jamestown and world-famous band 10,000 Maniacs are celebrating their 45th anniversary by giving back to their hometown.
Throughout Labor Day weekend, the music group will host an arts festival that concludes with a benefit concert to support the local community.
“We wanted to give the proceeds to the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation where we have, over the years, set up three scholarships, the Aaron Perez scholarship for students doing multimedia arts, BNB Foundation is for mothers who are going to college, and the Robert Buck scholarship, named after our departed guitarist who died in 2004, for students interested in pursuing music,” Steve Gustafson, the band’s bass guitarist, said…
