WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4) — A field fire is burning near northbound Bangerter Highway near 2400 S.
According to traffic camera footage, there was active smoke at 2400 S Bangerter Highway. It appeared to be burning in a field, and multiple emergency vehicles were on scene. As of 8:00 p.m., the smoke was no longer visible.
According to West Valley City Fire Department, the fire burned an approximately 50×100 feet area and was extinguished in about thirty minutes. It was likely caused by wires near a power pole that were sparking.
Officials have not released any additional details at this time.
