Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno shares with us every other month about their rescue dogs.
Are you ready for Summer? How about starting it off with a new canine companion? We have the perfect guy for you. Tyson came to the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno when he was just 3 days old, along with his mother and 5 siblings, after they were found in a porta-potty in Bakersfield. He is a Lab mix, and is now about a year old. While the rest of his family have found their forever homes, Tyson is very shy and has not found the right fit.
Tyson gets along well with other dogs having been raised in foster homes with multiple dogs. He has not been introduced to cats, so we cannot guarantee he would be feline-friendly. He is good with everything, including kids, according to his foster. Although he is presently very shy when meeting new people, with patience and a little time, Tyson warms up and is a “sweetheart” according to his fosters. The most important thing a new family will need with Tyson is patience and love while he settles in to a new home and learns to trust.
Tyson is crate-trained, potty trained, and doggie-door trained. He likes to travel with his family and has been on two camping trips recently where he was very well behaved, as well as trips to the beach and dog park. His leash skills are improving, and his fosters are also working with him on basic commands. He likes playing with his toys, and while he may “fetch” a ball, that does not necessarily mean bringing it back.
Of course, Tyson has been neutered, microchipped, and is fully vaccinated. If you think Tyson would fit well into your family, please visit our website at labrescuefresno.org and submit your application to adopt…
