Berryhill ‘young but very talented,’ says Cronkright

After watching his baseball team play four competitive games to open the summer, Berryhill Post 165 manager Dan Cronkright had mixed feelings. He wasn’t satisfied with his team’s defense and pitching, but he was excited about Post 165’s potential.

“We’re a work in progress. We didn’t play very good defense this weekend,” admitted Cronkright, whose team went 2-1-1 at a tournament in the Grand Rapids area on Thursday and Friday.

“As a coaching staff, we’ve vowed that we’re going to work on a few things over the next few weeks – taking care of the ball, not walking people, making plays, and not giving other teams extra outs,” he added, while noting that Berryhill’s offense looked pretty good…
