Governor Kathy Hochul signed legislation on Saturday designating the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway as part of the state scenic byway system.
The byway’s first phase spans 176.76 miles and connects 22 sites significant to Harriet Tubman, the Underground Railroad, and freedom seekers.
