‘Best, worst and only Deadhead store’ in French Quarter holds closing sale as construction drags on

In addition to two storied eateries, New Orleans will lose what owners describe as the “best, worst, and only Deadhead store in the French Quarter” this month as a nearly nine-month infrastructure project drags on along Decatur Street

“We already had a going-away party,” said Kelsey Wolf, co-owner of Dead on Decatur, a Grateful Dead-themed handicrafts shop. “So now we’re just packing up this month. This is our last week with most of our stock.”

Wolf touted wholesale discounts on glass pipes, rocks, DanceSafe drug test kits and handmade leather bags.
