Firefighter hurt in fire at South Boston triple-decker that spread to home next door

A firefighter was taken to the hospital following a fire at a triple-decker in South Boston early Sunday morning.

Crews were called to the three-story home at 729 East Third Street around 3 a.m. for heavy fire in the back that traveled to the neighboring home at 731 East Third Street, according to the Boston Fire Department.
