Capital Region International Airport celebrates 100 years of flight

LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – Capital Region International Airport celebrated 100 years of flight with an official centennial celebration.

The airport invited community members to take part in the festivities and honor a century of aviation in Lansing. The event featured aircraft displays, a flight simulator and an opportunity for kids to take to the skies in a free airplane ride.

President and CEO of the Capital Region Airport Authority Nicole Noll-Williams said the airport’s impact is bigger than the daily takeoffs and landings. They’re powering jobs, tourism and business across the region…
