A manager at a state-run veterans home in Paramus, where 89 residents died during COVID, has filed a lawsuit claiming state officials punished her for repeatedly warning of staffing shortages.
Biko Hannibal, of Wallington, claims in court papers she sent numerous emails between 2023 and 2025 raising concerns about budget shortfalls, invoice backlogs, delayed payments and staffing deficiencies at the New Jersey Veterans Home at Paramus.
