Downtown Freeport will come alive with horsepower, music, and car gurus on June 18, as participants in the nationally recognized Sick Summer drag-and-drive event, make a special stop in the heart of the city.
From 4-7 p.m., residents and visitors are invited to gather at 126 E. Stephenson St. in downtown Freeport to experience an impressive display of high-performance street cars, meet drivers from across the country, and enjoy an evening of entertainment and local hospitality, according to a community announcement. Sick Summer, being held this year June 14-19, is one of the premier drag-and-drive events in the Midwest, featuring more than 300 of the world’s quickest street-legal race cars.
