Despite risk of rain, Ozarks Pridefest keeps large turnout

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Springfield’s annual Ozarks Pridefest kicked off Saturday with a morning parade marching through the downtown square and festivities continuing in the afternoon.

Despite some risk of rain earlier in the day, it died down before PrideFest, which drew a large turnout.

“It’s really great, Pridefest has always been a great event,” said Adrian Childs, “I live in Conway. Springfield is kind of far, but it’s where all the entertainment and stuff is.”…
