BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – After three days and more than 150 miles, the 11th ‘New York Run For The Fallen’ ended Sunday at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park, with every mile honoring a New York service member who made the ultimate sacrifice during the global war on terror.
“Knowing that every single runner was going to get out of that van to run for that last hero marker, not just for my son but for all the names we read for the last three days,” Lori Jablonski, Run Coordinator and Gold Star mother said. “It’s just such a special event, and it’s just such a special group of people that all understand.”
From Syracuse to Buffalo, runners stopped at hero markers along the way, pausing to recognize fallen service members one by one…
