LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — They may not grade papers or hand out report cards, but fathers and father figures often teach some of life’s most important lessons.
With Father’s Day approaching June 21, Fayette County Public Schools is shining a light on the men who helped shape students’ character and success through its “All Pro Dads Day” celebration.
Statistics show that about one in four children grow up without a father figure at home—a challenge that studies link to higher risks of substance abuse, involvement in crime, and dropping out of school.
