Gulf storm may bring multiple weather impacts this week

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Multiple weather threats are expected through the week as a stalled front and a developing Gulf storm keep us quite busy.

🌧️ STORMS INCREASE – Locally storm chances are ramping up today as we come under the influence of this frontal system. Expect off and on downpours with some dry times mixed in. Rainfall can be torrential given the tropical environment so be ready for street flooding in spots. Expect an enhancement of our flood threat and rainfall on Tuesday as things become a bit more widespread.

🌀 GULF STORM – The midweek forecast evolves around the developing Gulf storm. This may be an organized tropical system or just a low pressure area but the impacts will be the same. Flooding rains and gusty winds can be expected later this week. The heaviest rain may stay west of us but that totally depends on the final track of whatever this system turns into…
