Louisiana’s royal couple has been named to headline the 2027 Washington Mardi Gras in what has become one of the most popular annual parties in the nation’s capital.
Ochsner Health CEO Pete November, who oversees the vast health system from New Orleans to Shreveport, has been selected king, while Peighton Ashley, a pre-med student at Xavier University in New Orleans, will serve as queen at the festivities culminating in the Jan. 27 ball.
