Motorcyclist suffers critical injuries in two-vehicle crash in KC’s Northland

A motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash on North Ambassador Drive in Kansas City’s Northland Sunday evening, police said.

In an email, Sgt. Phil DiMartino, a spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department, said the crash happened around 9:45 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Northwest Old Tiffany Springs Road and North Ambassador Drive.

Police determined that the rider of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle had been traveling south on Ambassador approaching the intersection with a green light when a Toyota vehicle turned into the intersection on a flashing yellow left-turn arrow, he said.
