CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Part of a busy south Charlotte road was closed on Monday afternoon due to a sink hole, police report.
As of 5 p.m. on Monday, June 15, Selwyn Avenue was closed at Colony Road — near a shopping center in the Barclay Downs area, according to Charlotte police. The closure was reportedly caused by a sinkhole in the area.
The public was being asked to avoid the area and “seek alternate routes.”
It was not immediately clear how severe the sinkhole was, or what caused it…
