The front will linger across Central Alabama on Tuesday as deep tropical moisture is in place. This will lead to numerous showers and storms with heavy rain. We could pick up 1-2 inches of rain, which could lead to flooding. It will not be as warm, with highs in the upper 70s.
The front will dissipate on Wednesday, allowing fewer storms. Highs will be back in the mid to upper 80s.
An area of low pressure is forecast to develop along the Texas Coast on Wednesday and move northeast toward the TX/LA border. NHC is giving it a medium chance of developing into a weak tropical storm before it moves inland along the TX/LA border. Typically, tropical systems that develop in June can be poorly organized and messy with a significant amount of heavy rain.
